Angelo began his career with the Italian National Police in 1986, advancing to the role of Police Detective Chief Inspector at the Central Directorate of Criminal Police in Rome. He served as a Criminal Intelligence Officer at INTERPOL for eight years, contributing to border management projects in France. Later roles included Counter Terrorism Fusion Task Force Manager in Thailand and Counter Terrorism Capacity Building Officer for Asia and Africa. He managed the professional training and development of law enforcement agencies, and undertook investigative missions in India, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Colombia.
Angelo is a visiting lecturer at the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research in Singapore, specializing in counter-terrorism and intelligence.
